Training

Many employers find responding to legal issues and appearing in Employment Tribunals to be a daunting experience. In many respects they are often an education on what should have happened. This can often take place in front of junior staff who may also be witnesses, which is very compromising.

Mistakes often happen at junior manager level and more senior managers are often not up to speed when they need to act to implement strategy. We see many employers who have allowed a situation to develop without even knowing that there was a potential legal issue to address and all employers should take steps to ensure that they are ahead of events. It is far more expensive and time consuming to deal with issues which have not been contained in their early stages.

For employers, the best way to get 'value for money' from Employment Law is to train everyone involved. Not only do you get to use the Law for your own purposes, this tends to lead to less staff turnover and generally more respect for the leaders.

We provide a wide range of training courses aimed at Directors, Managers and HR Managers on how to comply with legal obligations and implement effective business strategies. Each training session is tailored to meet your individual needs and can be held either on or off site.

Our next session is on 30th June 10 and will cover more targeted redundancies (as compared with group lay offs). This reflects the kind of instructions we have been receiving with employers, cautiously optimistic about the economy but still needing to run a very tight ship.

Popular courses that we have provided in the past include;

·  How to conduct a dismissal and disciplinary hearing,

·  Discrimination in the work

·  Employment law updates / refresher courses.
